Payments

What are your payment terms?

  • All invoices must be settled within 30 days of the invoice date or surcharges will be applied. 
  • This does not apply to zone visits, which must be paid for at the time of treatment. 
  • We reserve the right to request payment at the time of treatment.

Can I pay by credit/debit card?

  • We accept payment by Debit, Visa and Mastercard.
  • We do not accept Diners Club or American Express cards. 
  • Card payments can be made in person or by phoning the office on 01737 246109.
  • Card details are not kept on account.

Can I pay by Cheque?

  • Cheque payments are accepted. These should be made payable to Stephen Brooks Limited

I am making an insurance claim and want my insurance company to pay you directly.

  • We accept direct payments from insurance companies by prior arrangement.
  • You are responsible for paying us the excess as defined by your insurance company, and for any charges not covered by your insurance. 
  • Insurance claims are still subject to surcharges if not settled within 30 days of the invoice date and it is your responsibility to get the appropriate paperwork to us as soon as possible.  
  • Please note that your insurance company will not pay any late payment surcharges which may be applied to your account.

Out of hours

What happens if I need a Vet outside of office hours?

We offer a 24 hour a day emergency service 365 days a year. 

Just call our regular number and your call will be taken by our answering service who will arrange for the vet to call you back or visit you. See our emergency visits page for full details.
