With so many reports of main plaiting going on all around us now many owners are becoming very conscious that it could be their horse next.
Ian and his mare, Cassy are one of those, so they asked Stephen Brooks to microchip Cass.
The whole process took a few minutes with a single injection into the nuchal ligament on the left side of the neck. After that a quick scan to make sure the chip is in place and it was all over.
Finally some paperwork, some tags to put on head collars and the registration information is complete.
The great thing about this process is that anybody trying to move or dispose of a horse will think twice if they find it has a chip and this can cut down the chances of thieves picking on your horse.
Why not give us a call to book your horse in to be microchipped!
