ATYPICAL MYOPATHYThere has been another case of suspected Atypical Myopathy in Surrey over Christmas. There have been a number of cases this Autumn in the Surrey/West Sussex area. The main signs of Atypical Myopathy are sweating, muscle twitching, reluctance to walk and increased periods of lying down and weakness when getting up. One of the most specific signs is dark to black urine. To date only horses kept at pasture have been reported to be affected.
